Discover Your Dream Career

ECE graduates have the skills to build tomorrow’s world and shape AI into a sustainable benefit for society.

From core fundamentals like machine learning and neural networks to ingenious advanced intelligent systems, tackle real-world projects in healthcare, robotics, LLMs and virtually any industry that interests you.

BS and MS degrees are available on-campus and online. Or pursue continued studies through on-campus MS and PhD programs with immersive AI research opportunities.

Outside the Classroom

Expand your network and your knowledge with a multitude of early-career possibilities, student organizations and real-world research, including:

  • Experience capstone projects and internships that build relationships with companies and national labs
  • Join the AI Hardware Design League, where interdisciplinary teams build AI hardware, sponsored by Arm, NVIDIA, and other industry partners
  • Connect with peers and potential employers at student clubs and competitions, like Hack Arizona, IEEE, and AI-specific groups
  • Delve into life-changing research with global leaders in the field on government and industry-funded projects

Faculty at the Forefront of AI

Partners in Progress

ECE collaborates with leading AI companies, national agencies, and campus initiatives to push the limits of what is possible and help make the world a better place.

Industry partners include NVIDIA, Siemens, Arm and Intel. And campus-wide initiatives – such as Artificial Intelligence at UArizona, AI Access and Integrity Working Group, AI Verde, AI and XR Studio, AI Core’s XR Lab – are taking the reins to lead the field into the future.

This effort is led across the university by David Ebert, chief AI & data science officer and tenured faculty member of ECE, who guides AI strategy on campus.
