New Book Illuminates Relationship Between Holograms and Solar Energy
April 21, 2016
ECE professor Ray Kostuk has completed publication of a new book, Holographic Applications in Solar-Energy-Conversion Processes.
The book examines how holograms and holographic elements, such as spectrum-splitting filters, can be used to support solar energy technology. Also included is an overview of relevant design, materials and fabrication methods.
The book was co-authored by researcher Jose Castro, Juan M. Russo, Deming Zhang and Shelby Vorndran.
Russo and Zhang are former UA graduate students in electrical and computer engineering, and Vorndran is a current graduate student who recently defended her dissertation.
