The grand prize at Hack Arizona 2016 went to freshman electrical engineering major Mark Omo, who designed Drone Flight Area Control with a high school buddy. The program, which also won for best software, manages multiple unmanned aerial vehicles.

Juniors Nick Copic and Scott Jeffrey Marshall were on the team that nabbed the sustainability award. They helped create Mini Midi Recyclable, a musical instrument made of leftover aluminum cans.
