Two ECE Professors Named Center for Semiconductor Manufacturing Fellows
The University of Arizona Center for Semiconductor Manufacturing named Weigang Wang and Janet Roveda as 2024 CSM Fellows.
The fellows are faculty leaders in their disciplines. They have technical expertise relevant to the semiconductor sector, synthesize complex information to inform strategic directions by CSM, and collaborate with campus partners.
Wang is an associate ECE and physics professor who researches condensed matter physics. He studies the transport of charge and spin at nanoscales, and is focused on exploring new mechanisms to lower the switching energy of nanomagnets.
Roveda, ECE and BME professor and director of the Center to Stream Healthcare in Place, conducts research in areas including smart grids and smart homes, VLSI systems for biomedical applications, multicore design, data centric systems, reliable systems and circuits, DNA computing, and synthetic biology.
