National Academy of Inventors names Wolfgang Fink fellow
The NAI Fellow Program inducts Wolfgang Fink into the 2023 Class of Fellows.
The National Academy of Inventors elected Wolfgang Fink, an associate professor of ECE, to its 2023 Class of Fellows.
Only academic inventors who have made significant contributions to improving quality of life and bettering society are eligible for the NAI’s highest professional honor.
Fink is the inaugural Edward and Maria Keonjian Endowed Chair, with joint appointments in the departments of ECE, biomedical engineering, systems and industrial engineering, aerospace and mechanical engineering and ophthalmology and vision science.
"Thank you National Academy of Inventors, President Paul R. Sanberg, Deputy Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Deputy Director, USPTO Derrick Brent and all the staff for a wonderful and perfectly organized Fellows Induction Ceremony NAI 2024 in Raleigh, NC last Tuesday," Fink said in a LinkedIn post following the induction ceremony in June. "I am most grateful to have joined the ranks of my NAI Fellow colleagues from all over the world."
