Faculty members who've received noteworthy attention for their work during the 2010-11 academic school year will be recognized, along with college staff who've achieved significant career achievements. Included in the ceremonies are an honorary doctorate, recognition from the Arizona Department of Education, five associate professorships with tenure, and regional awards from the Arizona Cancer Center and the Arizona Society of Professional Engineers.
National and international recognition of faculty from the American Society of Civil Engineers, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Khon Khan University in Thailand, Great Minds in Stem (HEENAC), Intel and the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona will also be presented at the afternoon ceremony.
"This event will be a special time when we can pause to honor our colleagues for their outstanding achievements, and say thanks to them directly for all they've done during their careers," said Jeff Goldberg, Dean of the UA College of Engineering.
