Course Description
The course begins with a review of the basic principles of quantum mechanics and quantum information processing from the perspective of detection and estimation. This introduction reinforces prior learning while ensuring the course is self-contained. We then transition to classical detection and estimation, focusing on quantum radar proposals and their limitations. Finally, after an introduction to the fundamentals of classical machine learning, the course concludes with the study of quantum machine learning, emphasizing recent breakthroughs and rapid advancements in the field.
