This workshop unites faculty from the Department of Radiology & Imaging Sciences and the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering to explore how AI and machine learning are transforming medical imaging — from cancer detection and surgical training to privacy-preserving systems and extended reality in clinical care. Attendees will hear from experts across both departments, spanning topics from data-centric AI and synthetic patient generation to AI-driven diagnostics and digital twins in healthcare. A reception follows the program, offering the opportunity to connect with speakers and fellow attendees.
